Stuckey collapsed in the team's previous game at Cleveland and was held overnight at the Cleveland Clinic; he is expected to recover from what was an undisclosed ailment that kept him out of Sunday's contest.

Kevin Martin led the Rockets with 27 points but missed a potential game-tying three-pointer at the end of overtime, as Houston lost for the ninth time in 13 games. Aaron Brooks added 25 points and seven assists, while Luis Scola had 20 points and 15 boards in the hard-luck defeat.

Trailing by eight with 3 1/2 minutes to go in the fourth, the Pistons pulled even with Houston behind Hamilton and Prince.

Prince finished two dunks off assists from Hamilton on consecutive possessions to pull within four, and, after a Brooks layup pushed Houston's lead back to six, Hamilton's two free throws and layup made it a 102-100 game with 1:08 remaining.

After Martin missed a shot on the ensuing Rockets touch, Prince took a deep rebound for a breakaway dunk to tie the game with 45.8 ticks on the clock.

Shane Battier and Hamilton each missed deep jumpers in the final moments to usher the game into overtime.

Jordan Hill's three point play 80 seconds into the extra session provided the visitors with a 105-104 edge, but Hamilton responded with a jumper, and a Jason Maxiell layup with 2:15 to go gave Detroit a 109-105 advantage.

Martin drew a foul with just under a minute left and sank both free throw attempts to halve the deficit, and Price missed two free throws with a chance to push the lead back to four with 11.7 seconds to play.

Brooks tried a go-ahead three-pointer with 5.9 seconds to go but missed, and Jerebko went only 1-for-2 from the line to keep Houston's hopes alive. Martin received the inbounds pass but only grazed the rim with his shot to end the game in Detroit's favor.

The Pistons grabbed a 29-20 lead after one quarter, but the Rockets climbed back and cut their deficit to 57-55 at halftime.

A 6-0 run early in the third provided Houston with a 69-63 edge after a Brooks three, and the visitors were ahead by a score of 86-82 heading to the fourth.

The Rockets maintained the lead throughout the fourth until Detroit's late surge.

Problem with Bears?

Chicago, IL - New Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and star linebacker Brian Urlacher shot down reports of a rift, saying they're simply not true.

"There's nothing between us," Cutler said Thursday, when he reported to training camp. "I just want to put that to rest. There never has been anything between us."

Urlacher added: "I never said what I was quoted as saying and that's it. I have a lot of respect for Jay. I think Jay knows that."
Former Bears receiver Bobby Wade caused a stir when he told Minneapolis radio station KFAN-AM that Urlacher used a profanity while questioning Cutler's manhood during a conversation in Las Vegas last weekend. Wade, who now plays for the Vikings, said Urlacher used a profane version of the word "wimp" during the interview that had to be edited out.

"I wouldn't go face-to-face with Brian, anyway," Cutler said. "No, that's never happened. I've hung out with Brian away from the facility numerous times and we've always gotten along."
Urlacher, noting he was limited by a groin injury, denied the reports in an interview with the Chicago Tribune and did it again when he reported to camp.
"I didn't practice this summer, so I don't know how I would fight the guy if I didn't practice," Urlacher said. "We have no problems. I'm excited about football starting. I'm excited to have him as our quarterback."
Why would Wade say that?
"I don't know," Urlacher said. "Maybe he's jealous because we have a good quarterback now."
Cutler said the first he heard of any friction was when he got a call from Urlacher to clear the air. Urlacher, however, said he had already taken several calls from teammates wondering if the reports were true when Cutler phoned.
"He called me and I said, What's up (expletive), what are you doing?'" a grinning Urlacher said, uttering the same word he allegedly used with Wade. "It's so dumb to me that this even got to this point, but it did and then here we are."

We can't spend a whole lot of time on something that isn't true. I have talked to the players. Whenever something comes out, you have to address it, but it's a non-issue."
In some ways, Cutler is getting a second chance in Chicago, an opportunity to repair his reputation.
Smith said another quarterback - Michael Vick - deserves one, although he doesn't see it happening with the Bears, who lack an experienced backup. The former Atlanta Falcons star, who served a 23-month sentence for running a dogfighting ring, said Thursday he is getting close to signing with a pro football team.
"A second chance, like everyone in society who has paid their debt to society," Smith said. "He deserves a second chance. As far as we're concerned, we like this team that we have right now."
Particularly the new quarterback.
"Me and Brian have been on a good relationship since I've been here, and I expect it to continue that way," Cutler said.

Arizona, however, could not sustain their momentum and the Eagles took a 25-24 with 10:45 left to play in the fourth. The Cardinals, with the franchise's first Super Bowl appearance hanging in the balance, mounted a fourteen play, 72 yard touchdown drive that consumed 7:52 off the clock. Warner hit running back Tim Hightower on a short screen for the go-ahead, game clinching score that will forever live in Cardinal infamy.
